Alaina "Lainie" Grace Wood,Was born September 30, 2006 at Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva, IL. Anxious to enter this world, Alaina arrived several weeks early. She weighed four pounds _1__ ounces but every ounce received a ton of love from her parents and grandparents, family and friends who were anxious too. Without warning, in her early days, an infection appeared and on Tuesday, October 10, Alaina was rushed to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge, IL. Surrounded by the best of care and cradled in the arms of love and prayers, Alaina fought valiantly for her life but Thursday morning, October 12, she had to say goodbye. Private family funeral services were held Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, IL. The Rev. Patricia Kitner of the St. Charles Congregational Church, officiated.
Interment followed at Whitney Cemetery, Wasco.
