May 22, 2021

Billy Paul Ward, age 36, formerly of Sycamore, passed away unexpectedly, May 22, 2021 and although he left without saying goodbye, the memories he left have become precious to all who loved him.

He was born January 16, 1985, in United Kingdom at Upney Hospital a happy bonny baby weighing in at a lovely 9lbs 3oz. He brought great joy to his mother and his late grandparents Joe and Doll Summerfield who absolutely adored and deeply loved him. Billy was only three years old when he made the trip to the U.S, settling in Schaumburg at first before moving to Sycamore with his family, where he attended local schools. He had a love for sports, playing basketball, soccer, snowboarding and he loved to be outside. Billy found peace and serenity through drawing and painting pictures and came to be quite the artist who took pride in all that he did. Billy was a friendly guy with a great sense of humor who loved his family.

He left the U.S, in 2007 moved back to the UK becoming a caregiver to his quadriplegic cousin in Bournemouth. Billy eventually moved to Glasgow, United Kingdom, a lovely city where musicians and artists from all over would reside and where Billy began to do his artwork.

Billy enjoyed dirt bike riding with his brother Mitch as kids, and always stayed true to his family.

He did endure some tough times, but he always knew that his mother was there for him. Craig Montgomery was like a father figure to Billy and would always help where and when he could.

Billy left behind his mother Teresa Summerfield, his sister Lisa Ward, his niece Aleigha Ward, his nephew Darryl Mull, and Craig Montgomery.

He now joins his brother Mitch Ward, his maternal grandparents, Doll and Joe Summerfield; his uncle Keith Summerfield and aunt Janet Horncy, who preceded him in death.
