Date of Death

May 10,2020

Charlotte Naden, age 80, of North Aurora, woke to Heaven on Mother’s Day, 2020, leaving broken hearts and shining memories.
She was born May 15, 1939 in Aurora, IL, to proud parents, Clifford and Pauline (Bower) Breon.
Charlotte graduated from Batavia High School where she made a name for herself in both archery and bowling.
Charlotte caught the eye of a special man, Thomas H. Naden. They were united in marriage on November 28, 1964, at the United Methodist Church in Batavia, IL. They lived in Aurora for a time before building themselves a home in Sugar Grove a year later.
Charlotte helped spread the daily news by delivering newspapers to the households in Batavia and North Aurora. She also dedicated many years to the food service at Batavia High School where she was the best “lunch lady” a kid could ever have.
She was a member of the Kanveville United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.
Charlotte loved people, as well as any and every social gathering she could attend. Going bowling? She was there. Have coffee? Save her a seat. Pot Luck dinner, you could count on Charlotte to bring a dish to pass and smile to share. She never met a stranger and always strived to do something to brighten other people’s lives. Knowing she was a universal donor, she gave often and recently received a certificate stating the she had donated over ten gallons to help her common man. But it was for the four legged companions that she reserved a spot in her heart and on her lap. Pups of all sizes were welcome at any time, day or night. Genealogy was a passion which made her time working at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO, so much fun as she walked around in period costume. Her travels weren’t limited to the “Show Me State”, Charlotte loved to travel by car and by camper from New Jersey to Alabama, from Montana to Utah and California. She traveled to and through all of the lower 48 and more. It’s no wonder she had friends from every walk of life and from every state. Everyone who knew her, loved her, and she will be missed by all.
She is survived by her son Timothy (Sara) Naden; three grandchildren: Miranda andTrace Naden and Brianna (Cody) Bowgren; one brother, Larry (Anne) Breon, and a family of frineds.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Pauline Breon, her husband Tom Naden and a sister in infancy, Donna Mae Breon;
Family and friends will gather at a later date whenever it safe to do so.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Charlotte’s name. Checks may be made to the “Charlotte Naden Memorial” and mailed in care of P.O. Box 66, Elburn, 60119. Tributes may also be forwarded to the same address, the Conley Funeral Home Facebook Page, or at www.conleycare.com.
