NAME DALE T. STOUT, age 74, of DeKalb, formerly of Elburn, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Kishwaukee Community Hospital in Sycamore.BORN: He was born September 7, 1935 in New Holland, IL, the son of Dewey and Agnes (Swingle) Stout.EARLY YEARS:Dale grew up in both Lincoln and Aurora, IL, and attended local schools. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1953. Following high school Dale worked locally for a time before finding a job at Allsteel in Aurora, IL. He finished his tenure in the computer department, retiring in 1998.MILITARY:During his time at Allsteel, Dale enlisted in the Army National Guard and received training, though he never actively served.MARRIAGE: Dale met Marjorie "Marge" Wagner at Allsteel and before too long, more than just steel was formed. Dale and Marge were united in marriage on April 15, 1961 in Aurora, IL. RESIDENTIAL HISTORY: They began their new life together outside of Elburn until 2000 when they moved to their present home in DeKalb. LIFE NOTES: Dale was a man of motion with a heart dedicated to fitness. He was always on the move and if you were anywhere near him you were taken along for the ride. Dale was an outdoorsman who felt at home around a campsite, on a bicycle or a motorcycle, both on and off the road. His family have chronicled years of memories traveling to camping sites around the country in an RV packed to the hilt. Later when the children were grown, Dale and Marge continued to travel together albeit it in a "newer model" much to the chagrin of his kids who likened the original to a "Port-O-Potty On Wheels". Dale spent many years among his friends in North Aurora aiming for strikes on the local bowling league and later at Funway in Batavia. Dale rarely played golf but when he did, he made it count. His documented "hole-in-one" is a proud achievement that is framed and hangs proudly in his home. These memories and thousands more have been shared over the years. Gone, but not forgotten, Dale lives on in the stories and hearts of all who knew and loved him.
