Ellanor Hauser, age 86 of Elburn passed from this life to eternal life in the early morning hours of October 28,2013 at Arden Courts of Geneva. Ellanor was born on January 10, 1927 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Theodore B. & Marie M. (Songer) Clauser. Ellanor grew up in Aurora and Oswego graduating from East Aurora High School with the class of 1944. Ellanor was introduced to Herbert Hauser by a mutual friend and knew that he was the love of her life. On November 10, 1945, they were united in marriage in Aurora, IL. Herb and Ellanor began their new life in Yorkville and began their family of six children. In 1957 they moved their family to the John Grommes farm on Seavey Rd., where Ellanor was a farmer’s wife and stayed home to raise her children. She was a seamstress and made clothes for her children when they were small. She had a passion and a gift for knitting. Her hands rarely stopped when she was given the opportunity to sit and knit. Throughout the years, her hands created beautiful baby sweaters, booties, hats, and baby blankets for all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as many friends. Ellanor used her talents to make infant hats which she donated to Delnor Community Hospital for all of their newborns. Herb and Ellanor enjoyed bowling and bowled with the Elburn Mixed League for many years. For a short time she took up the game of golf, which she enjoyed very much. After raising her children, she began working at the Elburn Herald and for several years did housekeeping for St. Gall Church. She looked forward to her monthly card games with "the girls" who she also spent time with creating many beautiful quilts in her basement. She joined St. Gall Church in 1957 and had been a faithful member until her failing health. Pierce St., Elburn, IL. A mass to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday October 31, 2013 at St. Gall Catholic Church, 120 W. Shannon Street, Elburn, IL at 10:30 AM with Father Timothy Seigel Pastor of the church officiatingIn lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name to benefit Elburn Lions Club. Memorial checks may be made out to the Elburn Lions Club and mailed in care of the Hauser Family to P.O. Box 8049, Elburn, IL 60119. Visitation will be on Wednesday October 30, 2013 from 4-7 PM at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, IL. A mass to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday October 31, 2013 at St. Gall Catholic Church, 120 W. Shannon Street, Elburn, IL at 10:30 AM with Father Timothy Seigel Pastor of the church officiating

Interment will follow at St. Gall Cemetery, Elburn, IL
