JEFFERY S. "Jeff" AUSTIN, age 48, of Elburn, formerly of St. Charles, passed away at Delnor Community Hospital in the early morning hours of Monday, January 31, 2011. BORN: He was born October 30, 1962 in St. Charles, IL, the son of Milford and Norma (Ellingson) Austin. EARLY YEARS:Jeff grew up in St. Charles and attended local schools. Following graduation from St. Charles High School he worked as wholesale parts manager for Chrysler. He was a dedicated and valued employee for many years. RESIDENTIAL HISTORY: Jeff called several places home including Cortland during the 1990’s later moving to Elburn where he has recently made his home. LIFE NOTES: Jeff was an independent soul and loved all things "fast". Few things slowed him down. He had a passion for racing and riding his motorcycles. From Harley Davidson’s to Ninja’s, Jeff lived to ride making many "Poker" runs with family and friends. He also loved guns in every shape and size. Jeff was a "kid" at heart and that kindred spirit resonated with children and dogs. He wore his heart on his sleeve and was protective of those he loved. His laugh was infectious and easy, no matter whether he was with friends or watching "old school" movies. Jeff left this world without regrets and leaves behind colorful tales, unforgettable memories and a family who will miss him dearly. SURVIVORS: He is survived by his father Milford Austin, Three siblings:Linda (Larry) Hudgens of Brownstown, ILMitch (Karen) Austin of Humble, TX andStephanie (Mike) Ritz of DeKalb, IL;Seven nieces and nephews:Travis (Kristine) Hudgens, Rebecca (Jeff) Boatman, Lori (Dell) Kegley, Teri Johnson, Stephanie Austin, Dustin Ritz and Desiree Ritz;Eight great-nieces and nephews:Eight aunts and uncles:Eileen Hardy,Betty Binstock,Ed (Gloria) Ellingson, Neil (Darlene) Ellingson, Gloria Ellingson, John (Sandy) Ellingson,Floyd (Betty) Austin, Ruth (Lyman) Swaim and a family of friends. PRECEDED:He is preceded in death by his mother Norma, twin sisters, Ruth and Rose who died in infancy, four uncles: Maylon Ellingson, Waldo, Howard and Merle Austin; two aunts, Avis Nixon and Vivian McKinney.VISITATION / FUNERAL Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, February 3, 2011, at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, IL. A funeral to celebrate his life will be held Friday, February 4, also at Conley Funeral Home, at 10 a.m. with visitation to precede the service from 9-9:45 a.m. Rev. Ernst Rex, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Virgil will officiate and interment will follow at Kaneville Cemetery, Kaneville, IL. MEMORIAL A memorial has been established in his name.
