LIFE NOTES: Myrtie made her life’s work raising her children and making their house a home. Myrtie loved to be outside in her small garden tending to her flowers and watching all the colors bloom. The time she cherished most was when she was with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When Myrtie was young, the family always ate at home, but she made up for it later, jumping at the chance to eat out seven days a week. Trips to get ice cream at the corner store in Kaneville were a special weekly event and when she was in Elburn, the destination was Alice’s Place where a special treat always awaited her. She also loved to go to the movies and watch the newest love story or "tear-jerker". Though she left this earth and claimed the promise of her savior, Myrtie left behind a treasure trove of memories to be cherished by all who knew her.
