Mark Dienst, age 56, of Maple Park, passed away at home, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family, in the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 9, 2019. He was born October 14, 1962, in Geneva, IL, to proud parents, Wendell and Mary (Olesen) Dienst. Mark grew up in Maple Park and made it his lifetime home. He attended local schools and graduated from Kaneland High School with the class of 1980. Before Mark received his diploma, he became a friend to many and was no stranger to various mischief and shenanigans. Katherine “Kay” Goldenstein, age 81, of St. Charles, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Free of her earthly struggles, Kay flew to her Heavenly home on the wings of a dove. She was born January 15, 1937, to proud parents, Herman and Emma (Hoffmann) Goldenstein. Kay grew up in St. Charles on the family farm and attended local schools. She graduated from St. Charles High School with the class of 1954. After receiving her diploma, Kay attended Wheaton Bible College and received a Bachelor’s degree in Science in 1958. Kay found employment at Mooseheart Child City and School, as a physical education teacher in 1958. She taught generations of children, many of whom still hold Kay dear in their hearts. Anita Clark, age 94, of Batavia, formerly of Ica, Peru in South America, passed away surrounded by the love and prayers of her family, Saturday, January 5, 2019. After many years of missionary work in His name, she now rests in the arms of her Heavenly Savior. She was born on June 7, 1924, in Newark, NJ, to proud parents, Hugo and Dorothy (Volkheimer) Geissele. Anita grew up in Maplewood, NJ and attended local schools. She graduated in 1942 from Columbia High School. Anita and William James Clark were friends “from the neighborhood”. Introduced by Bill’s sister, Anita and Bill married in 1945. Lyle Paul Brundige, age 64, of Elburn, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 3, 2019. He was born January 9, 1954, in Oak Park, IL, to proud parents, John and Marie (Koch) Brundige. Lyle grew up in LaGrange Park for a time before the family moved to Sugar Grove in 1968. Lyle attended local schools and graduated from Kaneland High School with the class of 1972. Rich was born in Chicago, IL, on August 18, 1938, to proud parents Sylvester and Stella Stachura. From an early age, Rich had developed a love of two things, farming and anything mechanical.
