NAME Caitlyn Christine Thornton was born into her parents loving arms on June 22, 2006. Caitlyn fulfilled one of a thousand dreams that were born a mere months before, and in Caitlyn’s eyes they saw a thousand more. Within days complications arose along with the certainty that no matter the strength of their love, nor the arms that held her close, could keep Caitlyn from leaving this world. In a too brief time, she would change the hearts of all who held her dear, leaving them with tiny footprints and a memory that will live on into eternity. She passed into the hands of God on June 27, 2006. SURVIVORS She leaves now her parents, Carl Thornton and Trisha Murphy, of Aurora, IL;Paternal grandparents, Reuben and Helen Thornton of Aurora, ILMaternal grandparents:Gary and Karen Murphy, of AZ and Kenneth and Brenda Marmy of North Aurora, IL;Five great-grandparents;And several aunts, uncles, and cousins. PRECEDED She now joins her paternal grandparents and great-aunt and uncle, Paula and Timothy Murphy who preceded her in death. MEMORIAL In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name. Checks may be made to the "Caitlyn Thornton Memorial" and mailed in care of P.O. Box 66, Elburn, IL 60119. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. at the Family Bible Church, 243 S. Commonwealth Ave., Aurora on Thursday, June 29th, 2006. A funeral to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, June 30th, also at the church, at 10 a.m. Pastor Don Roberts, pastor of the church, will officiate.
Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Aurora.
