Carl Lenart Lindvall, 88 of Casa Grande, AZ, formerly of Big Rock, IL , died Aug. 30, 2004 in Chandler AZ. Carl was born Dec. 16, 1915 in Sandwich, IL, the son of Carl and Alma Lindvall. He grew up in Sandwich and, through the years, friends came to know him as "Lenart". On November 28, 1940, Thanksgiving Day, he was united in marriage to Bernice "Dotty" Brown.They farmed for a time in Plano and later in the Elburn area for many years. In 1983 they retired and moved to Big Rock, IL where Dotty passed away n 1996In 1997 Lenart was united in marriage to his present wife, "Juanita". In recent years they moved to Arizona where they have since made their home. Lenart loved to travel, especially to Minnesota where he enjoyed annual vacations with his family. In 1994, he made a historic trip to Sweden to be reunited with some of his relatives. An avid fisherman and golfer, Lenart also loved horses. He was a member of both the Elburn Lions Club and the Batavia Moose Lodge.Survivors include:His wife Mary "Juanita" Lindvall of AZ; Three sons: Jerry (Barbara) Lindvall of Naperville, ILLaVern (Aggie) Lindvall of Salem, Ark., andDouglas Theresa Shackelford of Victorville, CA.His twin sister, Lillian Anderson of Tucson, AZ;three grandchildren: Sarah, David and Scott Lindvall;and two step-grandchildren, Topol and C. Lee Shackelford.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernice "Dotty", and two sisters, Margaret and Marta Lindvall.Services entrusted to the care of Conley Funeral Home, Elburn. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004 at 3pm Blackberry Cemetery, Elburn, corner of Rt. 47 and Keslinger Rd.. The Rev. Ernst Rex, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, Lily Lake, IL, will officiate.

Interment at Blackberry Cemetery, September 4,2004.
