Following his father’s death, Clark came to make his home at Mooseheart, Batavia, IL along with his mother and his brother and sister, Elsie and Norman. MILITARY / EMPLOYMENTAt eighteen, Clark entered the Army and served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Like many veterans, Clark was very proud to have served his country but never spoke of the battles for which he received three bronze stars. He and his mother, Barbara Moulding, made their home in Elburn where he cared for her until her death in 1982. In the years that followed, Clark cared for his brother, Norman, in St. Charles, until Norman’s death in 1996. At seventy-two he began living alone for the first time in many years and continued to be independent until 2005 when the gradual impact of spinal stenosis required skilled nursing care at Provena Pine View, St. Charles. Even there, the ever kind and gentle Clark found ways to help other residents as he had his own family for so many years before. MEMBERSHIPSClark was a charter member of the VFW Post #5036, St. Charles, IL as well as the American Legion Post #630, Elburn.
