CONNIE A. SCHULTZ, age 58, of Montgomery, passed away unexpectedly after a short but fierce battle with cancer, at Edwards Hospital in Naperville, Wednesday, September 16, 2015.

She was born on November 9, 1956, in DeKalb, the daughter of Clarence and June (Ainsworth) Seisser.

Connie’s family called many places home in the early years, but eventually settled in Elburn. She attended local schools, made many friends and memories (most of which centered on mischief)!

Connie found love several times throughout her life, but lasting love seemed to be elusive. What did last was the special bond she had with her three children, Michael, Jason and Caelyn.

Connie mirrored her upbringing when it came to living anywhere for very long. Each place was special in its own right, and the memories made at each stop became priceless.

Connie began her working career at a little restaurant on Jericho Rd. when she was only 15. Later she worked her way up to manager at several different restaurants including Perkins, Denny’s, and a host of fast food chains, most recently at Steak N’ Shake.

Connie’s work ethic was strong and as such she rarely had time to venture out socially very often, but she more than made up for it by her extensive use of Facebook. She didn’t use it solely for social reasons, as Connie, through “Grieving Mother’s” group, reached out to other mothers who have lost a child, just as she lost her son Michael in 1994. Connie was a family woman at heart and was most happy when surrounded by those she loved the most, especially her grandchildren. Though she left the world too soon, the memories Connie made will be treasured by the family she left behind.

She is survived by her two children: Jason Schultz and Caelyn (Steve) Vercande; 11 grandchildren; One sister, Cae Hawkins and several other “adopted” siblings who weren’t’ born into the family, but entered into the love and support of the Seisser family; Many nieces, nephews and cousins, not to mention a close family of friends who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded by her parents, her two siblings: Jim Seisser and her twin sister, Bonnie Fulkerson; One son Michael Schultz and one brother-in-law, Jerry Hawkins.

Visitation will be from 12-2p.m. with a funeral service to follow, Monday, September 21, 2015, at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, IL 60119. Following cremation there will be a private family interment.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to a cancer research organization of their choice. Tributes may also be forwarded to www.conleycare.com and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Conley-Funeral-Home.
