David Seimer

David R. Seimer, age 66, of Burlington Twp., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at St. Alexius Hospital in Hoffman Estates, IL, on Palm Sunday, March 20, 2016.

He was born August 1, 1949 in Elgin, IL, the son of Howard and Bernice (Kawa) Seimer.

Dave grew up in South Elgin and was retired from the assembly automation machining industry.

Dave was an avid outdoorsman, long time member and past president of the Hampshire Sportsmen Club as well as the Thornwood Sportsmen Club, Salmon Unlimited Club, NIHFD Northern Illinois Hunting and Fishing Days, the NAIFC North American Ice Fishing Circuit and was a Lake Michigan boat captain.

Dave is survived by his loving wife Cooky Louise Seimer; Katie, a Llewellin Setter; two brothers: Chuck (Karen) Seimer and Tom (Diana) Seimer; brothers and sisters-in-law: Mary Friedmann and Joe (Sandy) Konecny, Toni (Mike) Berens and Jim Konecny; many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Bernice Seimer; mother and father-in-law, Joe and Frances Konecny and one brother-in-law, Mark Friedmann.

A celebration of life will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Burlington United Methodist Church, 195 West Center Street, Burlington, IL.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Dave’s name to benefit his favorite charities. Checks may be made out to the “David Seimer Memorial” and mailed in care of P.O.
