DELLA M. CARNELLAge 83 of Sugar Grove, passed away Friday afternoon, November 30, 2007 under hospice care in St. Charles, IL after four years of battling lung cancer. Surrounded by her loving family and the prayers of many, she slipped peacefully "Home for Christmas", just three days before her birthday. Her family invites friends to Conley Funeral Home to celebrate that birthday on Monday, December 3, 2007 from 4-5pm with a celebration service to follow at 5:30pm. Della will be laid to rest at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Tuesday morning at 10am. Chaplain Dee Clark of Provena Hospice will officiate. MEMORIAL A memorial has been established in Della’s name to benefit hospice and cancer care. Memorials checks may be made to the Della Carnell Memorial and mailed in care of P.O. For information call 630-365-6414 or 1-800-8 CONLEY.BORN / EARLY YEARS:Della was born to this life, December 3, 1923 in Cedar Grove, TN the daughter of Jakey Dewey and Willie Opal (James) Reynolds. Della grew up in Cedar Grove and married her childhood sweetheart, Tommy Carnell. They were Wed on December 25, 1937 and began farming in southeastern Missouri. There too, they began their family and were blessed with four daughters, Linda, Patricia, Bonnie and Diane. In 1966 they moved to Sugar Grove where their only son, Glenn was born. Della’s life revolved around her husband, her children and grandchildren. Their lives were hers and her joy was watching them grow. When her daughter Linda passed away too young, and later, her husband Tommy as well, a part of Della went with them. As she joins them now for Christmas in Heaven, she leaves her loving family, knowing that the love she gave them is still the love they share between across eternity. SURVIVORS:She is survived by three daughters, Patricia (Rick) Beaber of Geneva, ILBonnie (Perry) Kirk, Hot Springs Village, AR andDianne (Tom) Stonecipher of Ft. Meyers, FL andone son, Glenn, T. (Missy) Carnell of Elburn, IL:Eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. PRECEDED: She joins now her parents, one brother in infancy, her husband and their daughter, Linda Kinner who preceded her in death.
