Donna S. Allen, 32 of rural Maple Park, formerly of Geneva, died unexpectedly, early Saturday, October 2, 2004, at Good Samaritan Hospital where she was taken following an auto accidentShe was born January 25, 1972, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Gabriel and Donna (Bell) Castro. When Donna was a child, the family moved to St. Charles where Donna attended Thompson, Jr. High. Later moving to Geneva, Donna studied hair styling through her Junior and Senior years. Following graduation in 1990, she went on to study massage therapy as well. MARRIAGE On November 9, 1992, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, John Allen. They made their home in St. Charles near the fair grounds. Every year, during the fair, they hosted huge parties attended by hundreds of friends. In 1993 they moved to Maple Park and in 1997 came to make their home on Ramm Rd. There, Donna enjoyed gardening and cooking. She had a natural flair for putting good things together in a great way and was just beginning to pass along her cooking secrets to her daughter, Sammantha. They made great Salsa together with ingredients they raised in their own garden. Donna and Sammantha also enjoyed biking together. Donna loved a good work out and enjoyed exercising at the Export Gym in St. Charles. She was always trying to better herself and recently, had explored the possibilities of becoming an electrician. SURVIVORS She is survived by her husband John, Their daughter, Sammantha Coy Allen (age 10, her mother’s beloved little "Chica"), Her parents, Donna (Gabriel) Castro of Geneva, ILOne brother, Gabriel of Little Angels, Elgin, ILHer mother-in-law, Delores Allen of Maple Park, As well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Donna also had a huge family of friends who will always remember her as the consummate party host and the very life of "good times". Outgoing, always smiling and just "naturally sarcastic", Donna always spoke her mind. In life, love and friendship, she held nothing back. PRECEDEDShe is preceded in death by one brother, Steve Castro, Her maternal grandmother, Suzanne FasoHer paternal grandmother Josephina CastroAnd her father-in-law, Coy Allen. MEMORIALSMemorials in her memory may be made to the Donna Allen Memorial in care of P.O. Box 66, Elburn, IL 60119. Gifts will benefit her daughter’s education.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2004, from 3-8pm at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, IL, 60119. Her funeral service will follow on Wednesday, October 6, 11am at the funeral home. Ronald Schaeffer, of the Jehovah’s Witness Congregation of St. Charles, IL will officiate.

Interment will conclude at Gardner Cemetery, Maple Park, IL
