On Friday, July 28, 2006, Grant, with loved ones at his bedside, left Central Florida and stepped into the arms of Jesus Christ, his Savior and Lord. A heavenly host of family, friends and co-workers welcomed Grant to his eternal home. Grant’s parents, Grant Sr. and Bernice, and four older brothers, Earl, LeRoy, Warren and Harry, welcomed Grant into this world on October 28, 1927, in Monmouth, Illinois. He attended schools in Monmouth, Chicago, and Elburn, Illinois. While still attending high school, Grant started working at the local newspaper office of the Elburn Herald. He graduated from Elburn High School in 1946 and continued working in printing. On July 1, 1950, he married Beverly Drury. Grant and Bev raised four lively sons, Scott, Grant III, David and Barry. In 1965 Grant and the family entered missionary service with New Tribes Mission at the international home office in Woodworth, Wisconsin. Grant managed the NTM print shop for 25 years, retiring in 1995. Grant and Bev moved to their home at the NTM Homes in Sanford, Florida, and since then have resided there with fellow NTM Missionaries. Grant is survived by his wife, Beverly, and two of their sons. Scott, his wife, Sue, and their son Mark live in Orlando, Florida. David [Leverett], his wife, Erica, two sons, Aragon and Schuyler live in New Mexico; son Dustin lives in Alaska, and a daughter Tari lives in Oklahoma. Two great granddaughters, Arris and Alorah, a brother Harry, nieces, nephews, and many friends also survive. Two sons, Barry and Grant III, his parents, and three brothers preceded him in death.

A service to celebrate his life was held at the New Tribes Mission Homes Chapel in Sanford, FL. on Aug 5, 2006
