September 13, 2021

James Richard Bellon, age 60, of Aurora, formerly of Hinckley, passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2021. Although he left without being able to say goodbye, his memories will be cherished forever.

He was born March 28, 1961, in Aurora, IL, to James and Pia (Middleton) Bellon. James and Pia would eventually go their separate ways. When Frank Middleton married Pia, he became not the father James was given, but the father that he needed, teaching and leading both James and his brother Erik through their adolescent years and into adulthood.

James grew up in Aurora and attended local schools. Following his graduation from Aurora Central Catholic High School, James enlisted in the United States Navy. He faithfully served his country for 8 years before being honorably discharged. He returned to civilian life in Virginia for a time before moving back to Illinois, settling in Hinckley. Later in 2017, James moved back to his hometown of Aurora .

James found a home in the protection industry handling security at IMSA for over 26 years before moving on to the Grand Victoria Casino.

James favored collecting coins but loved his classic rock, blasting Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Van Halen and the Beatles for hours on end. On the T.V., Rick and Morty captivated his attention, and when he went online, James learned as much he could from every corner of the internet and every walk of life. Curry was a staple of his diet and always found an excuse to indulge in his favorite dish. He will always be loved and always be remembered.

He is survived by his brother Erik (Mandy) Bellon and their children Ian Wolfgang and Erika; many nieces, nephews and a family of friends that will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Pia Middleton as well as James Bellon.
