James Simulis, 55, of Whitman, Massachusetts, died Monday March 27th, in Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA following an auto accidentHe was born, February 6, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Delores (Dawson) Simulis and the late Lawrence Simulis.Jim grew up on the south side of Chicago and graduated from Northeastern University in Illinois where he received his Bachelor’s Degree and went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Psychology from George Williams College in Chicago.He was a resident of Whitman, MA for 18 years and was a leader in the United Methodist Church there. James was a unique, creative, and imaginative man who loved his family. He enjoyed computer graphic arts, vintage movies, old time radio shows and classic oldies music. His creativity was admired, respected, and entertaining to everyone who knew him. In addition to his wife Judy, he is survived by two sons; Mark S. Simulis (23) and Todd I. Simulis (21) both of Whitman; and mother, Delores Simulis of Westmont, IL, three siblings: Lawrence Simulis, Jr. of Woodridge, IL; Elizabeth Larsen of Chicago, IL; and Charles Simulis of Indianapolis, IN as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, April 4, from 6-7pm at the Batavia Covenant Church, 1314 W. Main Street, Batavia, IL. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:30pm at the church. The Reverend Christopher Ek will officiate. Private family interment services will conclude at River Hills Cemetery, Batavia at a later date.
