Joan Culver, age 86 of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, fomerly of Aurora Illinois passed away April 8,2004.Joan was born June 18,1917, the daughter of Harry and Charlotte (Dressler) Crooks in Chicago, IL.She grew up in Chicago and attended local schols. She graduatd from Von Stuben High School with the class of 1936. Following high school, she worked as a beautician for many years.Joan began a new life after her divorce in 1966 when she married Aurthu Culver in 1967 and moved to Aurora, Il.She was a devoted member of the Fox Valley China Painting League where she left a legacy of breautiful hand painted art on an assortment of prized china that will be remembered in the hearts and homes of her family.She now leaves two daughters: Linda (Richard) Landrigan of Scotsbluff, NE, Susan (Ronald) Evans of Montgomery, Il.Three step-daughters: Diane (Paul) Shepard, Sandy (Jan) Gordon, and Peggy (Roland) Sebeczk.Four grandsons: John(Kim)Evans, Anthony (Barb) Evans, Randy (Jill) Evans and Partick (Shelly) Sanders;7 great-grandchildren;12 step-grandchildren and several great-step grandchildren, loving cousins and many close friends.Memorials may be made to the Maranatha Ministries in her name and mailed to PO Box 66, Elburn, Il 60119. The memorials will be used according to her wishes for the Maranatha Ministries who were instrumental in her care in the later years.

Friends may call at Conley Funeal Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn on Friday, April 16,2004 from 5-7:30 pm with a funeral service to follow at 8 p.m.

Interment will follow on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Lincoln Memorial park on Rt. 30 in Aurora, Il.
