JERRY F. KRALIK, age 65, of Wheaton, formerly of Naperville, passed away suddenly, Friday, October 12, 2012. BORN: He was born May 1, 1947, in Chicago, IL, the son of Frank and Emily Kralik.EARLY YEARS:Jerry grew up in Chicago and attended local schools. Later, his family moved to Berwyn where he graduated from high school. EDUCATION: Following graduation Jerry was drafted and served with the United States Army in Vietnam. Upon his return to civilian life in 1972, Jerry utilized his flight instruction in the Army by giving flying lessons. MARRIAGE: Jerry was united in marriage shortly after his return from Vietnam to Marlene. Although they were never blessed with children, they made twenty years of memories before her passing. Jerry was lucky in love for the second time when he found Linda Mae through mutual friends in 1991. Their love and dedication to each other was made official when they were united in marriage on September 3, 1992 on a sailboat in the Virgin Islands. They beauty seen that day was breathtaking, but paled in comparison to what they saw in each other’s eyes. RESIDENTIAL HISTORY: They began their new life together in Naperville for a time before making their home in Wheaton for the last fifteen years. OCCUPATION / WORK HISTORY:Although Jerry loved to fly, he found a career in finance as a Certified Financial Planner and stock broker for forty years. MEMBERSHIPS: Jerry was a member of the Naperville VFW. LIFE NOTES: Jerry and Linda loved to travel, re-visiting the islands, but also made trips down memory lane, keeping in touch with his brothers in arms, meeting them for reunions. He never lost his love of flying and being a pilot. It didn’t matter what kind of plane or even if it had an engine as he delved into flying gliders in recent years. Jerry was an war buff, studying the history of aerial combat and its role in modern warfare. Jerry and Linda also loved to eat out at their favorite restaurants, finding new favorites around every corner. SURVIVORS: He is survived by his loving wife Linda, Two siblings:Kenneth (Lynn) Kralik andRobert (Pat) Kralik;Many nieces, nephews and a family of friends who will miss him dearly. PRECEDED:He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Marlene. VISITATION / FUNERAL MEMORIAL A memorial has been established in his name to benefit his favorite charities. Visitation will be on Monday October 22, 2012 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Conley Funeral Home 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, IL 60119. A service to celebrate his life will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
