John Henry Sanchez, age 52 of Batavia, Il, passd away at Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva, Monday evening, October 25,2004 after becoming suddenly ill.He was born June 16,1952 in Slaton, Tx, the son of Joesph and Benita (Martinez) Sanchez, Sr. In 1953 the family moved to Elburn where John Henry grew up. In 1974, they moved to the present family home in Batavia where John Henry made his home.John Henry graduated from St. Charles High School with the class of 1971. In the years that followed, he returned to Elburn where he began working at the Elburn Packing Company, E.W. Kneip. When the company closed in the early 80\\\\\\\’s, John Henry began working in the construction trades, helping to build new homes with Westway Construction and Wateford/Tanglewood construction among others.Alwlays athletic, John Henry loved bowling, baseball and golf and was a \\\\
Visitation will be hled at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, Il Thursday, October 28, 2004 from 4-8pm. Visitation will conclude with rosary services at 8PM.His funeral mass will be celebrated Friday morning, October 29,2004 at 10:30 am at Holy Cross Church, Batavia. Visitation will be from 9:30 until the funeal hour on Friday. The Rev. Fr. James parker will officiate.
Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Geneva.
