NAME Kay L. Reagan, age 60, of Elburn, passed away at Delnor Community Hospital, Tuesday evening, March 4, 2008, surrounded by the love of her family following a courageous battle with cancer since Christmas 2007. BORN: She was born November 5, 1947, the daughter of Milbert and Marion Heggemeier, in Peoria, IL. EARLY YEARS :Kay grew up in Peoria for a time before the family moved to Aurora where she graduated from Madonna High School with the class of 1965. Following graduation she attended beauty school in Chicago and parried her trade in Aurora for many years. MARRIAGE Kay met Eron Reagan who had a "nefarious" reputation. Kay straightened him out and they were eventually united in marriage in 1970 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Aurora. RESIDENTIAL HISTORY: They began their new life together in Aurora. Eron worked as a line-man for Com-Ed while Kay continued to work as a beautician until they began to build their family and Kay concentrated on making their house a "home". Once the children had grown and began their own lives, Kay and Eron retired to Florida where golf was on their daily checklist. LIFE NOTES Golf, gabbing and grandchildren were her passions throughout her life. She also was extraordinary in the kitchen making her famous spaghetti whose recipe, as well as thousand golden memories, will live on for generations to come. SURVIVORS She now leaves her daughter Stacy Nemec and her son Drake of Elburn, IL;Her son, Ronald (Marianne) Reagan and their daughter Emily of Montgomery, IL;One brother, Wally (Sandy) Heggemeier of Aurora, ILFour nieces and nephews:Terry, Doug, Todd and Michelle;And a family of friends. PRECEDED She now joins her husband and her parents who preceded her in death.
VISITATION / FUNERAL Memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., March 14, 2008, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Aurora, following cremation.
MEMORIAL A memorial has been established in her name to benefit the Susan G. Kommen Breast Cancer Foundation. Checks may be made to the "Kay Reagan Memorial" and mailed in care of P.O.
