LILLIAN V. ANDERSONpassed away Friday, Nov.19, 2004 at Montrose Adult Care Home, Tucson, Arizona at age of 88 yrs. BORN: She was born December 16, 1915 in Sandwich, IL, the daughter of Carl and Alma (Alfredson) Lindvall. EARLY YEARS :Lillian grew up in Sandwich and attended local schools, graduating with the class of 1933. She went on to earn her teaching certificate at Northern Illinois Teachers College, DeKalb, and began her teaching career at "Mud Island School" and a one room school house in Little Rock, IL. Her twenty-four year teaching career included a number of years at the Leland Elementary School, in Leland, IL, as well. She was a devoted teacher and loved her students dearly whether it was during school or, helping girls as a 4-H Leader. Lillian also had a creative side that she expressed through painting and landscapes and created one-of-a-kind bulletin boards that were the talk of the school. MARRIAGE Lillian met her future husband, Edward C. Anderson, at a dance at Long’s Barn in Kaneville, IL. On June 14, 1941 they were united in marriage at the Geneva Lutheran Church, Geneva, IL. They began their new life together in Elburn where Lillian raised their family and Edward and his father farmed. In 1949, they moved to Leland, IL where Edward worked his own land and Lillian returned to teaching. Retiring in 1980, they moved to Tucson, AZ where they have since made their home. MEMBERSHIPS Lillian was a faithful member and Sunday School teacher at the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sandwich, IL. She also was a member of the Women of the Moose, in Sandwich, IL as well as in Tucson, AZ, where she achieved the degree of College of Regent. Lillian served also as Worthy Matron in the Eastern Star chapter at Earlville, IL. SURVIVORS She is survived by her husband Edward of Tucson, AZ, Two daughters:Evelyn (Ron) Prasse of Freeport, IL andSusan Anderson of Chicago, ILFour grandchildren:Kirsten (Jon) Schwartz of Okinawa, JapanKaren (Jahn) Swalwell of Oakland, IA.Rob (Julia) Prasse of Chicago, IL andNate Prasse of Freeport, IL four great-granddaughters: Annika, Alaina, Amelia Schwartz and Linnea Swalwell.PRECEDED She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Marta and Margaret Lindvall and her twin brother Lenart Lindvall.

Visitation will be held from 10-11a.m.. Saturday, Dec.4 at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St, Elburn, Illinois. Memorial services will follow at 11a.m with the Rev. Katherine Lawes, pastor of the Community Congregational Church, Elburn, officiating.

Interment services will conclude at Blackberry Cemetery, Elburn.
