Lorraine Cecilia Martin Einwich, age 90, of Wasco, IL passed away on May 22nd, 2020. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 2, 1930 to proud parents Margaret and Walter Martin. On October 7, 1950 Lorraine married her Navy Sailor and love of her life, George Einwich. They were married 34 years before he passed away in 1984. Lorraine and George were very involved in the Elks Club in Elgin, Illinois where she served as President of the Lady Elks in the 1970’s. One of the family’s favorite memories with having Lorraine & George’s 25th Anniversary party at the Elks Club. She made sure that her children attended the annual Christmas Party where Santa made a visit each year. She was also involved with the Easter Seals where she served as President as well while helping children with special needs. After her children grew up, she spent several years traveling with her mother and sister Joyce. They visited countries such as China, Russia, Ireland, Greece, and several others. She was thrilled to take numerous cruises with them as well, including a beloved Rhine River cruise. She was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed living in the country where she and George raised their five children. During her later years, she enjoyed driving her convertible and wearing one of her fabulous hats, especially the ones from her Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her children, Jayne (Michael) Jordan, Peter Einwich, Julie Einwich and Vicki (Joe) Monks. Her grandchildren include Nicholas (Lauren) Sepeda, Peter and Alex Einwich, Jenny (Jarod) Kunkel, Jason (Debbie) Einwich, Danny (Emily) Sepeda, Jacob Jordan, Keegan and Kylie Monks. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, Jamison, Johanna, Jackson Kunkel and Kaiden and Kole Sepeda. She is proceeded in death by her father and mother, Walter and Margaret Martin, husband George, son Paul Einwich and sister Joyce Sheriff.
