Mary Wanda Mencel passed away peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the age of 71. Mary was born November 26, 1944 in Dachau, Germany.
Mary is survived by her brother Joseph (Susan) Mencel, brother Michael Mencel, sister Carol Mencel Flores. Nieces Diana Flores Bott, Cecelia Mencel, Angelique (Jason) Flores Retherford. Nephews Brian (Renee) Chwaszczewski, Steven (Elizabeth) Mencel, Alex Brinas. Great Aunt to Kelly and Brian. Nathan, Cameron and Daniel. Kory and Brianna. Nathan and Cassidy. Anthony and Landon.
She is preceded in death by her dear husband Francisco Diaz, her mother Amelia Mencel, sister Helen Chwaszczewski, brother in law Stanley Chwaszczewski, nephews Alan and Mark Chwaszczewski, niece Kelly Mencel.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday September 21. 2016 at Conley Funeral Home 116 W Pierce, Elburn, IL. Immediately followed by a prayer service.
