MARY L. WEINPassed away peacefully at her home near LaFox, IL, Wednesday morning, March 16, 2005, surrounded by her loving family. BORN: She was born June 3, 1912 in Chicago Heights, IL the daughter of Louis and Catherine (Frelo) Del Gatto.EARLY YEARS :EDUCATION: Mary grew up in Chicago Heights and attended St. Rocco Catholic School through the eighth grade. Following her mother’s sudden death, Mary began working at the Kimball Glass Company, Chicago Heights and helped to raise her brothers and sisters. MARRIAGE While working at the glass company, Mary met her future husband, Harold Wein. They were united in marriage January 2, 1937 in Chicago Heights where they made their home briefly before moving to Ritchton Park, IL. In the late fifties they moved to the LaFox / Elburn area where they made their home for some fifty years. Mary’s life revolved around her family but over the years she worked for a time at Harris-Pine Mills, Geneva, IL, and worked as a housekeeper and nanny, among other things, to provide a home and a wonderful life for her family. Dedicated to her husband, children and grandchildren, Mary’s life mission was to raise her family and to inspire them by prayer and example to be faithful to God and to plan to meet and live together in heaven. SURVIVORS She is survived by :One sister, Florence LoBue of South Chicago Heights, Three Children: Yvonne ( Jim) Rippinger of Aurora, ILHoward (Gail) Wein of LaFox, IL and their family:Karen (Bradley) Duthie of Elburn (and their daughters: Rachael and Samantha) Aaron (Lisa) Wein of Germany serving in the U.S. Army;Joseph (Charlene) Wein of Schaumburg, IL (and their daughter Peyton);Karen (Warren) Wein of LaFox, IL In addition she leaves several nieces and nephews, among whom, Kathy LoBue was Mary’s devoted niece and caregiver. PRECEDED She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, Three brothers: Dominic, Joseph and Nicholas andTwo sisters Angeline and Pauline.

She was a faithful member of the North Aurora Seventh Day Adventist Church where her visitation and funeral will be held Sunday, March 20 2005. Visitation will be held from noon until 2pm with funeral services at 2pm. Pastor Kenneth Veal will officiate.

Interment will follow at Garfield Cemetery, Campton Twp.
