MATTHEW ROBERT LAPPE was born Wednesday, April 14, 2004at Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva, IL, He was just twenty-one weeks in this world with his mother, Tracy, She strongly suspected, even before Matthew was born, that he must be a boy. Active and rambunctious from the start, Matthew seemed anxious to be born and to join his brother Cory and sister Katherine in this exciting new world. But Matthew’s time here was all too brief. His tiny "earth suit" struggled bravely to manage the demands of "life support" but thirty-minutes was all the time he had. Just long enough for his mom and dad to see him. Just long enough to leave real footprints in this world. Just long enough to leave those footprints in the hearts and lives of his family. Gone but never forgotten, he will be forever loved, cherished and remembered by his mommy and daddy, Larry and Tracy (Griffin) Lappe;his step brother Cory Griffin and step sister Katherine Lappe;his maternal grandparentsJames and Judy Doppelhammer of Yorkville, ILhis maternal great grandparentsJohn and Eleanor Doppelhammer of Montgomery, ILRobert and Luella Eddy of Milan, MOhis maternal aunts and uncles:Jamie and Eric Edwards of OswegoTiffany Doppelhammer of MontgomeryJohn and Julia Doppelhammer of Aurora, Jackie Doppelhammer of Aurora,Joel Doppelhammer of Yorkville, Jeffrey Doppelhammer, also of Yorkville, his maternal cousinMadison Doppelhammer of Yorkville;his paternal grandparentsRobert and Luella Lappe of Lake Mills, IAKatherine and Edwin Shepard of Forest City, IAhis paternal great grandparentsCharles Franklyn of Forest City, IApaternal aunts & uncles:Loren Lappe of Titanka, IALynn and Pat Lappe of Big Rock, ILand his pternal cousins: Peyton Lappe, Garrett, Cole and Logan Lappe.and many friends whom have looked forward to Matthew’s arrival.
