MICHAEL "Mike" T. PAULSONAge 54 of Sacramento, CA, formerly of Belvidere, IL, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, March 24, 2007, in Ozark, AR, when he was stricken with a heart attack. BORN / EARLY YEARSHe was born, April 1, 1952, in St. Charles, IL, the son of Clarence "Red" and Doris Paulson.When Michael was eleven, the family moved to Belvidere, IL where he attended high school and as a young man, he followed his father’s footsteps into trucking. Hanging around with his dad, Mike developed a fascination for the big semi’s and eventually owned his own rig and his own company, Paulson Trucking. Through the years he drove for a number of different companies, including J.B. Hunt for whom he had been driving in recent months. Driving nation-wide, he covered the west coast states for about a third of his thirty some years. There was something "prestigious" about handling a big rig across the miles and Mike loved the freedom of the road. He had a gift of gab that served him well. Mike loved to "spin the yarn"; being a little "creative" with the truth when it suited his story. The tapestry of his life was strewn with both gold and grey threads but they were the things that made Michael, "Mike". SURVIVORS He is survived by:One brother, Tom Paulson of South Beloit, IL, Two sisters: Robin Eklund of Poplar Grove, IL,Kathy "Tina"(Richard) Fillbach of Seveirville, TNSeven children:MichaelScottRichardSharonShawnSeth andLaciseven grandchildren Amy,EmilyAlexConnerTaylorBaileyJeremyFour nephews and two nieces.PRECEDED He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sharon. VISITATION / FUNERAL Visitation will be held Monday, April 2, 2007, from 6-8pm with evening services at 8:30 pm.
Committal services will follow, Tuesday, April 3, at 11am at Blackberry Cemetery, Elburn.
