MILDRED H. CARRage 77 of Aurora, formerly of Kaneville, IL, passed away unexpectedly, early Friday morning, May 7, 2004 at Mercy Center Hospital, Aurora.BORN Date/Place / PARENTS (mother\\\’s maiden name)She was born May 30, 1926, in Plano, IL, the daughter of Paul Gladstone and Averil Lorena (Troeger) Carr. Mildred grew up in Kaneville, IL where she graduated from Kaneville High School with the class of 1944.Following graduation she began working at Burgess Norton Mfg. Geneva, IL. Over the next several years she also worked at Barber Greene Mfg., Aurora and the Log Cabin Restaurant, St. Charles. In1957, Mildred began working at Farmers Insurance, Aurora where she was a certified mail clerk until her retirement in the late eighties. Through the years, Mildred also taught private piano lessons and earned some extra income sewing doll clothes. She collected Barbie Dolls and Cabbage Patch Dolls and little brown tea pots of every description. A tea pot gift at the age of five, began her collection and she continued adding to it through all of her life. Even when she was diagnosed with incurable cancer, she rebounded the same day to go "Garage Sale-ing" with a friend. Independent and self-sufficient, Mildred never married but enjoyed her family of nieces, nephews and friends. She was "Aunt Mil" to family, "Mille" to friends and always, "Miss Carr" to her piano students. She will be missed by them all, but most especially by her three siblings: Dorothy (Lud) Juns of Maple Park, ILJerry Carr, Hale, MO, andMarvin "Jack" Carr of Texas.PRECEDEDShe is preceded in death by her parents andone sister-in-law, Lois Carr

VISITATIONIn keeping with Mildred’s life and love, a "Garage Sale" Visitation will be held at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, from 4-8pm where proceeds from the sale of some of Mildred’s treasures will benefit charity. SERVICESHe funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 11, at 10am from Conley Funeral HomeThe Rev. Katherine Lawes, pastor of the Community Congregational Church, Elburn, will officiate.

Interment will follow at Oak Mound Cemetery, Somonauk, IL.
