They married on April 23, 1982 and resided in the Elburn area throughout their twenty-six year marriage.LIFE NOTES Nancy enthusiastically loved her husband, family, friends and fun. She was a planner and a schemer and showed her personality and love in big ways. Weekends and vacations were never lost on relaxing; for Nancy, they meant boating, snowmobiling, camping, golf, waterskiing, riding her Harley, traveling and doing those things with as big a group as she could gather. Nancy was sure to organize the details, provide the equipment and toys and, of course cook and bake with everyone’s favorites in mind. Nancy’s love for life and others was only matched by that of her husband, Ron, who shared equally in her plans, adventures and giving. Nancy frequently took advantage of everything Post Lake, Wisconsin, the Illinois River and Kentucky Lake had to offer, and her travels never lacked for imagination, with Florida, Hawaii and Cancun among her many destinations. Nancy lavished attention on her nieces and nephews, and she taught them to love challenges and never miss an opportunity to turn fun into something great. Nancy didn’t just celebrate holidays and events, she made them memorable. She was the force that brought family and friends together and made simple things like planting and carving pumpkins, setting off fireworks, and cutting down Christmas trees special and joyful. Rex and Molly were among the many pets that shared in Nancy’s love, and her generosity with her delicious baked goods, casseroles and cookouts was widespread and well known.SURVIVORS She now leaves her husband Ron, Her parents, Dean and Laurine Harms of Elburn, Her sister Carol (Ken) Brooks of Antigo, WI, Two nephews:Steve Brooks of Pewaukee, WI and Ryan Brooks of Menomonie, WI;One niece, Laura Brooks of Milwaukee, WI;One brother-in-Law, Wayne Heuertz and his children Steve and Stephanie of St. Charles and a family of friends.
