PAT J. CAVALLOAge 68 of St. Charles, passed away Sunday evening, December 23, 2007 at Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva where he was hospitalized December 16, following a heart attack at his home. He was born September 2, 1939 in Fairmont, West Virginia and grew up to work in the local box factory with his father and uncles. In the mid-fifties, he came to Illinois and put his training to work at the St. Joseph Paper Company in Northlake, IL. In 1968 he began working for the Container Corporation of America, where he became a supervisor and met his wife, Lynna Vanderpool. They were wed on July 20, 1979 and made their home in St Charles. In 1982, Pat became employed at Commander Packaging in Bedford Park, IL and later at the company’s Batavia plant where he worked until ill health forced his retirement in 2001. Though Pat retired from his job, he never stopped working. A master of all trades, Pat customized his world from top to bottom. From the family car to their family home, he was constantly making things "Pat Perfect". A project with Pat was an education for anyone patient enough to work along side. Pat was also a man who loved good food, friends and good times and all three were the order of the evening when a poker game was planned or perhaps a Bears game or NASCAR racing. Pat’s spaghetti was magnifique!, as was his Chili – and both were jalapeno hot! Stories of those good times will be the order of the evening as well, when friends gather at Conley Funeral Home to celebrate Pat’s life. Visitation will be held Friday, December 28, 2007 from 5-7pm with a service of remembrance to follow at 7:30pm. Following cremation, private family committal services will later be held.SURVIVORS Pat is survived by his wife Lynna, Three children: Candy (Pat Schulz) Kush of DeKalb, ILTodd Vanderpool of St. Charles, IL Angela (Manny) Garcia of St. Charles, IL, Five grandchildren: Candy’s : John Kush Jr. and James SchulzTodd’s: Callista Vanderpool, Angela’s: Cayme Klaeges, Joseph Garcia ;His Mother-in-law: Janice Goodwick of Sycamore, ILAnd a family of good friends.
