Patricia Jones age 76, resident of Palos Hills passed away April 3, 2017 at her Daughters home in Maple Park
Pat was born May 6, 1940 in Chicago to the late Edward and Lucille (Gift) Kremsner. Growing up in Oak Lawn Patricia was the oldest sister to Judy (Taylor) and the youngest Jerry Kremsner.
Patricia met her future husband Robert Jones when she was 18 on a bus travelling to the horse stables where she loved to spend her free time. They both had a passion for animals especially dogs and horses. Robert and Patricia were married in May of 1962 and five years later Pat gave birth to their first daughter Christine. Three years later they had their second child a son named Corey. Early in their marriage Pats’ husband Robert had become very ill with a condition making it difficult for him to breathe. During this time Patricia had to care for the whole family. Only three years after Corey was born Robert passed away leaving Pat to raise two young children alone.
Patricia worked at a couple of department stores including Community Family center in the office and Goldblatts in purchasing where she met many of her lifelong friends. It was as a sales woman for K.B. Textiles where Patricia built a successful career allowing her to comfortably raise her family. Although very busy, Pat never lost her passion for animals. Along with her daughter Christine, Pat became active in breeding, showing, and training Dobermans. Patricia later established herself as a well known Papillon breeder, founder of the successful Wingssong Papillon kennel. After retirement Patricia spent some of the best years of her life travelling the country showing her beloved dogs and assisting her daughter in her career as a dog handler.
In 2016 Patricia was diagnosed with cancer. She underwent treatment and continued her life as usual going to dog shows with her daughter. When she was no longer able to travel she stayed at her daughters home surrounded by friends and family to the very end. Patricia fought her disease for over a year always with a positive attitude and without an ounce of fear being a constant source of inspiration to all those who visited and stayed in contact with her.
Patricia Jones is survived by her children Chris Jones and husband Tim Plezbert, Corey Jones and wife Tina, her 3 grandchildren Kari, Kamryn, and Zachary, and 2 great grandchildren Evie and Vera, and 4 nieces and nephews Jason, Sarah, Lyssa, and Ryan.
