PATRICA ANN ZIMMER, 62, of Miami, went home to the Lord on Tuesday August 13,2013, after a seven month battle with cancer, her family by her side at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion, Sandwich, IL.Patricia was born in Sycamore, IL on April 5, 1951, the oldest daughter of Joseph G. and Winifred B. (Herrmann) Zimmer. She graduated from Mount Saint Mary Academy in St. Charles IL in 1969 and Northern Illinois University in 1974. She relocated to Miami in 1983. She worked for Ryder Truck Rentals for many years. Patricia enjoyed playing darts, and played in many leagues. Patricia will be dearly missed by her brothers and sisters, Lawrence (Susan) Zimmer of Virgil, Virginia (Kenneth) Stewart of Glendale Heights, Janet (Joel) Beck of Sandwich, Diane LaFan of Aurora, and Daniel (Kathryn) Zimmer of St. Charles. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.She was preceded in death by her father; Joseph, and mother; Winifred.Private family burial will be held at a later date at S.S Peter & Paul Cemetery, Virgil, IL.The Family would sincerely like to thank Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion and Seasons Hospice for making Patricia’s final days comfortable and peaceful.
