EARLY YEARS : Although born in Bricesville, Paula grew up on 22nd and Hoyne Avenue in Chicago, IL. She attended local schools and lived above a local grocery. Unbeknownst to her, her future husband worked beneath her for five years. Fred Teer didn’t know about her either but it soon became clear after meeting her that everything was about to change. MARRIAGE Though both were young, their love wouldn’t be denied as they were united in marriage on December 31, 1963 in Waukegan, IL.
