RONALD J. PIETRZAKage 72, Aurora, IL died Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at the University of Illinois Medical Center, Chicago.BORN: He was born March 28, 1933, in Chicago, IL, the son of John and Frances (Potwora) Pietrzak.EARLY YEARS / EDUCATION: Ron grew up on Chicago’s north side and graduated from Lane Tech High School in 1951. MARRIAGE In October of 1953 he married Patricia Wilkins. They were married for twenty four years and made their home in Chicago and Hobart, Indiana for a time. MILITARY / OCCUPATION / WORK HISTORYRon was drafted into the Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his Honorable Discharge, he went to work for Chicago Rawhide and later, Babson Bros. and Duo-Fast as purchasing manager. He retired in 1998, and was an active member of the Des Plaines Bible Church.LIFE NOTES Ron was outgoing and enjoyed meeting people. His work and life were often focused on the details. He used his musical gifts through playing the piano and singing. He loved reading, fishing, golfing, movies and of course his children and grandchildren. His deep faith came later in life and he loved the Lord which brought him a peace he had not known before. SURVIVORS He is survived by five children and their families:Roy (fiancee Shelly Jagodzinski ) Pietrzak of Bolingbrook, IL and his daughter,Nicole Pietrzak of Aurora, IL and their son, Justin of Bolingbrook;Dawn (Bob) Roitblat of Antioch, IL and Dawn’s daughter, Christina Mann of Chicago, ILVanessa (Ray) Moeller of St. Charles, IL and their children:Jacquelyn (Ray) Hensley of Wheaton, IL,Derrick and Jamie Moeller, also of St. Charles;Craig (Trish) Pietrzak of North Chelmsford, MA and his daughters,Brittney Strzezewski of Franklin Park, IL andEmily Pietrzak of Ramsey, MN and his step-children,MEMORIAL In lieu of flowers, a memorial in his name has been established to benefit several medical institutions/charities.
