Tabitha L. McKeeAge 26 of Elburn, formerly of Clarksville, TN, died unexpectedly Friday evening, Dec. 3, 2004 when she was involved in a car accident on her way to work. Passing in an instant from time unto Eternity, she claims now the Christmas promise of her Savior to abide forever in His kingdom. BORN: She was born Feb. 6, 1978 at Ft. Campbell, KY, the daughter of Johnny L. and Mary F. (Black) McKee. EARLY YEARS :She grew up in many places, following her daddy’s military career around the world. Tabitha graduated from high school in Ozark, AL and following graduation worked locally for a time before moving to Elburn, IL in 1998 to become a Nanny. EDUCATION: A few months ago, she said goodbye to her Nanny family and began nursing studies at Waubonsee Community College, Sugar Grove. MEMBERSHIPS Tabitha was actively involved in her church all of her life. From working with youth groups to mission trips and disaster help. She was a young woman filled with unselfish love and always ready to share it. Tabitha also loved the adventure of white water rafting and rappelling. She enjoyed flying and looked forward to earning her pilot’s license. She was a young woman who could do virtually anything she put her mind to. From fixing cars to home remodeling to loving and caring for little children, Tabitha lived her life and faith to the fullest. SURVIVORS In addition to her parents, Johnny and Mary McKee of Clarksville, TN, She is survived by three siblings:Leslie R. McKee of Elburn, ILMary L. McKee and John M. McKee, both of Clarksville, TN,Her paternal grandmother: Barbara R. Beck and step-grandfather Cecile Beck of Echo, AL;And maternal grandmother: Claytie Black of Clarksville, TN, Many aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and a great many good friends, far and wide. Maternal aunts and uncles:Lucile (Terry) Adams of Clarksville, TNBrenda (Donald) Haines of Cunningham, TNC.B. (Patricia) Black, Jr. of Southside, TN,Annette (Burney) Fain, also of Southside, Peggy (Carl) Ledbetter of Roundpond, TN, Jenny (John) Denton of Clarksville, TN, Paternal aunts and uncles:Peggy (Ray) Sirmons of Midland City, AL, Sue (George) Elliott of Headland, AL, Homer (Sissy) McKee of North Carolina, Billy McKee of Echo, AL,David (Margaret) McKee, also of Echo, Mitchell (Annie) Ozark, AL, Faith (Jimmy) Farnklin of Montgomery, AL PRECEDED She is preceded in death by her grandfathers: C.B. Black and Johnnie McKee (spelling is correct with "ie" for this grandfather).

VISITATION / FUNERAL Local visitation will be held at the Faith Assembly Church, Keslinger Rd., Elburn from 4-7:45pm with evening funeral services to follow at 8pm. Pastor Jeff Gillihan will officiate. MEMORIAL Memorials in her memory may be mailed in care of P.O. Box 66, Elburn, IL 60119. Following local services, funeral arrangements will continue in Clarksville, TN where visitation is planned for Friday, Dec. 10, at 2pm. Interment services will conclude at Blackwood Cemetery, Clarksville, TN.
