TERRIE A. KING, Age 48 of Sugar Grove, IL died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, November 23, 2005 at Provena Mercy Center Hospital, Aurora following a sudden collapse at her home. BORN: She was born September 19, 1957 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Willie M. and Anna Jane (Coyle) King Sr. She attended Smith School and Jefferson Middle School and graduated from West Aurora High School with the class of 1975. For some twenty-two years she worked for Lucent Technologies, but when technology took a turn that left Terrie without a job, she found the perfect job as registrar at the Fox Valley Girl Scout Council. Terrie was a Girl Scout -for life. Her growing up years were full of Girl Scouting adventures and as an adult she was a Girl Scout leader.Terrie was also very committed to children’s ministries at the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church in Sugar Grove where she prepared Worship Packets each Sunday for the children. As a Sunday School Teacher and youth leader, she was a virtual "child magnet". Terrie had an uncanny ability to speak the language of children. She always knew what was "hot" and what was not! She teased kindly, loved unconditionally and lead like the Pied Piper. If Terrie was a child at heart, she was a "can do" woman with an amazing capacity to organize. Whatever the project, Terrie not only rose to the challenge, she rose to the top of it! She loved her parents and family and enjoyed planning family travels and good times. Wherever they went, she collected water globes and enjoyed sharing them with children She was, indisputably, everyone’s favorite "aunt" – related or not – and took children everywhere into her heart and under her wing. MEMBERSHIPS Terri was a member of the former Alamo Chapter, OES, Order of the Eastern Star. She was twice past Worthy Matron, served nearly every star point and was currently secretary of the Fox Valley Chapter.
