Veronica Noel Bestler, age 26, of Hampshire passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 23, 2017.
She was born on Christmas Day, 1990. Veronica was loved by her parents Michael and Gina (Stevens) Bestler.
Growing up as the 2nd oldest of eight, Veronica was known as one of the leaders to her younger siblings. Sometimes as the leader the blame stopped with her, but she never let herself get in trouble alone. Veronica was quick to share the blame to avoid the inevitable reprimand. Bungee jumping off the family silo is just a small example of what fun the family had together. Veronica always enjoyed doing her makeup. When she and her siblings were young, Veronica would line up her sisters to give them make overs. She never wanted to be seen without her make up done, to the extent of applying her makeup on the school bus in the morning and removing it just as fast at the end of the day before getting home. She was always prepared to look her best in the, even in the case of a fire, just in case she had to encounter a handsome firefighter. Reading, writing, and music were her true passions. Veronica enjoyed singing at the top of her lungs anytime, anywhere. She was often found driving or mowing the lawn just jamming away to her favorite music. Her family knew the song was good when you had to flag her down to get her attention or saw her running over items in the yard that should not be mowed over. Movies were also a favorite past time for Veronica. She absolutely loved “Gone with the Wind” and “Beauty and the Beast,” secretly wanting to be Belle. Veronica was a hopeless romantic. She loved telling fairy tales and stories to her family.
She attended the Summit Academy in Elgin, Cornerstone Christian Academy, and graduated from Burlington Central High School. Veronica briefly attended Elgin Community College and Kishwaukee College.
Veronica felt the calling to be a care giver to many. When she wasn’t working, Veronica was busy being a care giver to her family and friends. She was known to ask her sisters if they needed a babysitter.
Growing up Veronica participated in 4-H.
She leaves behind her parents; Mike and Gina Bestler, paternal and maternal grandparents, one son; Mikey, one daughter; Olivia, seven siblings; Annalyssia, Malaina, Joel, Biannca, Angelica, Monica, and Carina and many nieces and nephews.
Veronica now joins her paternal grandmother; Eve Bestler and her aunt; Nikki.
