NAME Robert "Bob" J. Strbavy, age 60, of Villa Park, IL, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL. BORN: He was born April 23, 1951 the son of John and Eleanor (Kordeka) Strbavy in Chicago EARLY YEARS:Bob grew up in Roseland Neighborhood and attended local schools, graduating from Fenger High School in 1969. MARRIAGE: Bob and Cindy Wilson were united in marriage in July 12, 1975. RESIDENTIAL HISTORY: They made their home in Carol Stream, IL where they welcomed their daughter Barbara Stacy in 1979. The family moved to Villa Park in 1982 where they would make their home for the next thirty years. OCCUPATION / WORK HISTORY:Bob was a dedicated employee Fellowes Manufacturing for over 25 years. LIFE NOTES: Bob loved music, especially rock and roll and played guitar with Styx before they hit it big. He also loved to bowl and in past years played in leagues in Lombard with family and friends. Bob was a "Die Hard" Chicago Cubs fan through thick and thin and of course he also loved his Chicago Bears. Bob had a big heart and loved his family, especially his grandchildren who captured his heart like no other. SURVIVORS: He is survived by his daughter Barbara (Bryce) Staker and their children, Zachary and Kirsten Staker, all of St. Charles, IL;Two siblings:Judy (Scott) Tenney of Rockton, IL and Jon (Cindy) Strbavy of Tinley Park, IL;Two nephews:Scott Tenney Jr., and James Tenney;One niece, Catherine Tenney;His former wife, Cindy Strbavy of St. Charles, IL and a family of friends. PRECEDED:He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cindy Strbavy. VISITATION / FUNERAL Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, May 5, 2011 with a funeral service to celebrate his life to follow at 7:30 p.m. at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, IL 60119. Rev. Drew Schmitz, a family pastor at Harvest Bible Chapel, Elgin, IL, will officiate and interment will follow at 10 a.m., Friday, May 6, at Union Cemetery, St. Charles, IL. MEMORIAL In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name to benefit his favorite charities. Checks may be made to the "Robert Strbavy Memorial" and mailed in care of P.O.
