SHERRI RONSTADT

Date of Birth

August 10, 1943

Date of Death

November 30th, 2021

On November 30th, 2021, Sherri Ronstadt, 78, ascended to the heavenly domain to rejoice with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at her side was her husband and best friend Janet. As a result of Covid complications, Sherri suffered respiratory failure. Rolf and Sherri would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary next May and their 30th anniversary of serving as International Ambassadors for Christ building citywide Christian outreach movements in Chicago and China.

Sherri was born on August 10, 1943, in Highland Park, Michigan, to Fay and Dorothea (Blood) Jennings. She married the love of her life, Rolf Ronstadt, on May 19, 1972. She was a loving stepmother to Anthony (Louise) and RD (Debra). Cherished grandmother with boundless love for her grandchildren: Brittany, Trey, Sydney (Zaric) Bushnell, Michaela (James) Norris, Sean and great-grandchildren Peyton and Bruer.

We will all remember her dedication, devotion, mercy, compassion, and uplifting spirit for life through her smiles, laughter, and loving concerns for everyone she met. As a person of caring, nurturing, and mentoring influence, she made instant lifelong friends. She had a devotedly love for travel, line dancing, creative arts, reading, prayer, and animals. Sherri’s advice to everyone was to not let things stop you from doing what you love as long as it was pleasing to God.

Sherri’s commitment to her Church and role serving the Women’s Ministry and Child Care duties to young mothers spanned 33 years of boundless energy, strength and love. She was loved by everyone; she had a kind word to say to everyone she met. She was the definition of the word “sweet.” She was passionate about her Lord and dancing, cherished her fellow dancers and friends and adored her family. An excellent cookie maker, she also loved decorating every holiday season and she had a great sense of humor and a big generous heart.

We have chosen to honor Sherri’s wishes and a Celebration of Life will take place Thursday January 13th, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Christ Community Church St. Charles Campus, 37W100 Bolcum Rd, St. Charles, IL 60175. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Sherri’s name to:

  1. It seems strange to think of dancing without Sherri. She always had a welcoming hug and a ready smile for everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

  2. I’m so sorry to hear about your family’s loss. My thoughts are with you and your loved ones. I was an occasional walk along the Fox River friend. May fond memories of Sherri bring you comfort during this hard time in your life. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.

  3. Sherri was always kind and understanding and loved to serve in the church. I worked with her in the nursery many times and it was always joyful. She will dearly be missed but I can see her up in heaven right now lying dancing that was her passion when she wasn’t serving the lord. God bless
