LIFE NOTES Tom loved everything to do with the outdoors and often helped friends and local farmers over the years with experienced seasonal help. Recreationally, Tom loved to fish, hunt and camp. He also never missed an opportunity to hit the golf course and sneak in eighteen holes whenever he could. Over the years Tom continued to nurture his love of running, just as he did in high school where he made perennial trips down state. When it came to sports, Tom was a natural at many and an avid fan of a precious few. The Chicago Cubs were a favorite, but he was a Hawkeye from birth.
