WILLIAM C. HOPE, age 71, of Burnsville, MN, passed away, Thursday, March 10, 2004 after battling health complications for several weeks. .He was born in Aurora, IL, the son of William and Cecile (Critchlow) Hope.William graduated from Aurora Schools and went on to attend Knox College in Galesburg, IL, where he remained following graduation, serving the college in a variety of administrative roles. In later years he served in similar adiminstrative capacities for the city of Monmouth, IL.On September 10, 1955, he was united in marriage to Barabara Selden in Elmhurst, IL. They made their home in Galesburg for many years until the mid nineties when they retired to Burnsville, MN.William was a member of the Family of Christ Lutheran Church, Lakeville, MN. Throughout his life, he was active in the churches where the family worshipped and served also on the Northern Illinois LCA Synod Council for a time. William was also an avid stamp collector and amateur photographer. Family memories recall "frequent photo stops" on journeys to and from everywhere. In addition to his wife, Barbara of Burnsville, MN, he is survived by three children and their families:three children: William (Debra) Hope of St. Louis, MO;and their family: one daughter, Tammy Hope of Wright City, MO;and her family: and Eric Hope of Mankato, MN.and his familyThree sisters: Mildred Shields of California; Barabara Flanders of Kaneville, and Jeanne Vanatta of Rochelle, IL.Many nieces and nephews and a family of dear friends.

Visitation will be held, Tuesday, March 16, 2004, from 6-8pm at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, IL. Evening services will follow at 8pm.

. Interment services will conclude at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Aurora, Wednesday morning at 11am.
