Bruce R. Jack, age 65, of Palm Bay, FL, passed away March 12, 2006, at the Homes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, FL.He was born May 9, 1940, in New York City, NY, the son of James and Margaret (Setterfield) Jack. He attended Deer Park Ave. Elementary School in North Babylon and graduated from Babylon High School with the class of 1956. He went on to attend Hofstra University in New York.On January 6, 1962, he was united in marriage to Andrea Richon. They made their home in New York while Bruce finished college and earned his degree in Computer Science. Following graduation from college, Bruce worked with local defense companies on Long Island and for a number of years he was employed by Grumman Aerospace where among other things he helped develop the technology for the lunar module and the space station. In addition, he was instrumental in developing the technology for the flight simulator for the F-14. He also worked for Russ Pellicano at Computer Concepts in New York. Bruce became an independent contractor and for a number of years worked for various companies designing and testing software. He and Andrea lived in various places across the country; wherever Bruce’s work took them. Bruce was a man of detail and organization and liked to have full control of his resources. Three years ago, he and Andrea moved to Palm Bay, Florida where they enjoyed the warmer climate.They were blessed with three children: David Bruce in 1962, Bonnie Robin in 1963 and Bryan Andrew in 1965. Bruce was a loving and devoted father. His children will always remember him as being dedicated to his family, having a strong sense of fairness and being a great teacher. As his children grew up and were married Bruce took their spouses to his heart and loved them as his own. His grandchildren David, Nicholas, Vincenzo, Andrea and Emily called him "Pop-pop" and, though they will miss him greatly, he leaves them with a legacy of stories and memories which will keep him forever in their hearts. Through forty-four years of marriage Bruce and Andrea shared a loving partnership and as "best friends" do they faced all of life’s challenges, joys and sorrows together.Bruce leaves his wife, Andrea; three children: David (Suzanne) Jack of Coram, NY, and their children, David Bruce, Jr. (11) and Nicholas Tyler (7); Bonnie (John) Caruso of Lake Grove, NY, and their children, Vincenzo C. (13) and Andrea N. (11); and Bryan (Beth) Jack of St. Charles, IL, and their daughter, Emily E. (11mo.), as well as one sister, Ellen Court of CA.He is preceded in death by his parents.A memorial has been established in his name. His funeral service will be held at 11am, Saturday, March 25, 2006, at the Grace Lutheran Church, Lily Lake, IL, with Pastor Ernst Rex officiating.

Interment will follow at Whitney Cemetery, Campton Twp., IL.
