Camille Walker nee Anderson, age 50, of Maple Park, IL, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, IL, following a long battle with liver disease. Free of her earthly chains, Camille can now claim the promise of her Savior and live ever after in halls of Heaven.
She was born on November 8, 1968, in Fort Dodge, IA, to proud parents, Alan and Linda (Wildeman) Anderson.
Camille’s family moved often, following her father’s job as a pharmaceutical representative and so her education was spread throughout the United States. She graduated from Burlington Central High School with the class of 1987. Many of the friends made in the halls of school continued for decades after because a friendship with Camille was a friendship for life.

Camille continued her education at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale where she studied biology. Later in life, her heart led her to pursue coursework toward a Nursing degree. Camille was a dedicated student and was participating in on-line classes up until most recently.
Camille met Pete Walker when they walked down the aisle at Pete’s brother Mark’s wedding. It may have been a case of foreshadowing but it would take until November 27, 2003 for them to make the next trip in Gatlinburg, TN, with the most beautiful waterfall you’ve ever seen in the background. They began their new life together in Virgil and that is where they stayed, making memories with much laughter and love.
Camille worked in the accounting department at Pepsi Co., and enjoyed her time at the William Spelman Studio but settled home as a co-owner of their own trucking business, Whispering Pines Trucking.
Camille was a ten year member at the Elburn Lions Club.
Camille’s daughter Allison was the center of her universe and forever lived in her heart. Her cats were constant companions and ruled the roost in her stead. She loved the beach and lived to wear flip flops. She took advantage of any opportunity to dip her toes in the sand and make tiki shell necklaces. When she couldn’t be beachside, Camille settled for time in her garden, tending to all of her favorite flowers and vegetables. She wasn’t a stranger to the kitchen and loved to cook for friends and family alike. When she had time to herself, she loved to tuck into a book but her secret passion was shopping at Kohl’s. Home was where she always wanted to be, but trips to Marion, IA to visit her maternal grandparents and Aunt Diana (godmother) & Uncle John came in a close second. Gone before her time, Camille will never be forgotten. She fought the good fight, she kept the faith and has now finished the race.
She is survived by her loving husband, Pete Walker; one daughter Allison Miller; a step-daughter, Charlene Walker; her parents, Alan and Linda Anderson; one brother Adam (Michelle) Anderson their daughter Sarah; Pete’s Dad and Step-mother Arne & Connie Walker and a host of other Walker family and friends.
She is preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents, her beloved dog, Sunny, who was a special kind of sunshine for Camille’s heart and last but not least , her cat Patch.
