Michael Alan Pacey, born April 22, 1963 to Elinor and Donald Pacey passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in his home surrounded by family and friends after a five year fearless battle with cancer. Born in Springfield, IL, the Pacey family moved to Elgin in 1965 where Mike graduated from Larkin High School in 1981. Mike married Nadine (Witek) in April, 1989 and welcomed their daughter, Hannah Renee in December, 1993. Mike’s successes followed him throughout his career from Lending Solutions to Resource Bank and finally at Old Second Bank allowing him to enjoy life to the fullest. Mike’s love of music and appetite for life earned him the nickname of "Rockstar" with his closest friends as he lived his life fully, without regrets, reservations or apologies. His influence and impact on others, while subtle, was profound and undying. Mike’s most cherished moments include camping, concerts, sunsets, bonfires and enjoying long weekends at the cabin. Mike is preceded in death by his father, Donald; father-in-law, Joe; and nephew, Russell. He is survived by his wife, Nadine; daughter, Hannah; mother, Elinor; three brothers, James, Duane and David and their families; mother-in-law, Donna; and in-laws, Greg, Brian, Janelle and Neil and their families…along with an extended family of friends and relatives who will forever remember Mike as their beloved Rockstar, alive and in the moment…the one where nothing matters and everything’s alright.Visitation and services to be held at Elburn Lions Community Park, 500 Filmore Street, Elburn, IL. Visitation on Wednesday, January 12th from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. A brief visitation starting at 10:00am followed by a Celebration of Life service on Thursday, January 13th at 11:00am. A video webcast will be available beginning five minutes before the service at www.conleycare.com .
