Rosalie (Feltes) Christensen,Age 77, of Elburn, IL, passed away peacefully, Saturday afternoon, June 19, 2004 at the Aurora Rehab-Living Center. BORN/PARENTSShe was born July 6, 1926 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Leonard M. and Loretta (Brummel) Feltes. Rosalie grew up in Aurora where she attended Madonna High School.MARRIAGE & WORKING YEARSOn January 21, 1961, she was united in marriage to Wendell T. Christensen at the Annunciation Church, Aurora. They settled in the tenant house on the Hughes Farm near Elburn where they lived and farmed for over twenty-five years. Rosalie also worked at Hawley Products in St. Charles for over twenty-two years and later, at Cetron, Inc., Geneva and National Electronics in LaFox for a time. In 2001, Rosalie and Wendell retired and moved to Elburn where Wendell passed away the following year. In that year, and for each year following, Rosalie faced a seemingly continuous barrage of setbacks and health issues. Through it all, her strong faith, close family and friends and an unsinkable sense of humor, kept her going. Family and friends will long remember how she loved to play cards and to garden. The many hours she spent, crocheting things for her friends and loved ones will long remain a reminder of the way her life was woven together with theirs. SURVIVORSShe is survived by her two sisters:Betty (Russ) Kinney of Bartlett, IL andCharlene (Charles) Nelson of North Aurora;four brothers: Raymond (Marge) Feltes of North Aurora,Charles (Marion) Feltes of Aurora, Wilbert (Janice) Feltes of North Aurora, Norbert (Judy) Feltes, all of Aurora;One sister-in-law: Jeannette Feltes of Aurora, IL;Her mother-in-law, Loretta Christensen andOne cousin, Clarence (Theresa) Reines of Aurora, Thirty-nine nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews and several great, great nieces and nephews. PRECEDEDShe was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell;Her parents and one brother, Robert Feltes, one nephew Thomas Nelson and two nieces Mary Allen and Susan Nelson. A memorial mass will be held at St. Gall Church, Elburn,Friday, June 25 at 10:30am. The Rev. Fr. Karl Ganss will officiate.

Cremation committal services will follow at Gardner Cemetery, Maple Park, IL.
